Vacancy for Playworker 

Castle Wood Out of School Care runs a Saturday Club for children aged 3-11 with a range of Special Educational Needs and their siblings.

We require an enthusiastic Play Worker to work as part of a team to deliver fun and stimulating play opportunities and provide high quality care for our children.  

A relevant qualification such as an NVQ in playwork or childcare would be preferable. The candidate needs to have experience in a childcare setting and knowledge and experience of Special Educational Needs. The ideal candidate would be flexible and able to work across the range of children we care for. 

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff, volunteers to share this commitment. A DBS will be sought from the successful candidate.

 

This post is casual as we rely on funding, although we have funding from Children in Need for the next two years.

The Saturday Club runs alternate Saturdays during term time (20 throughout the year). 

The hours are 9:30 – 3:30 which is 5.5 hours per day with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break.
