Welcome to Castle Wood School
It is with great pleasure that I welcome you to our school website. Castle Wood is a broad-spectrum special school for pupils aged 4 to 11 years old. We are proud of being the largest special needs Primary School in Coventry whilst catering for our 196 pupils with exceptional care and personalised attention. Our large site allows us to offer the children a rich learning experience - such as swimming in our hydro-pool or climbing on our climbing wall - without having to even leave the building!
Our curriculum is rich with opportunities to hone communication techniques as well as practicing important life skills. We benefit from excellent multi-agency partnerships and even have our own on-site nursing team. Our greatest resource is our amazingly committed staff who show care and warmth whilst offering rigor in their approach to pupil learning and progress.
The school is currently on a journey of rapid improvement with a new and ambitious leadership team and we invite you and your child to join us! I look forward to meeting you and your child should Castle Wood be of interest.
